Company Apparel Safety Items Inc. is a privately owned company which participates in the PIE program. The PIE program was established by Congress in 1979 as a way for inmates to earn savings for use upon release and helps defray the cost of their incarceration. Our manufacturing operation is located in the Winn Correctional Facility in Winnfield, Louisiana while our corporate office is located in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Nancy E. David has been the Chief Executive Officer of
CASI
since 1997. Mrs. David has been self-employed since 1983,
buying an AM radio and building it into a successful AM/FM
station. In 1997 she sold the radio and moved on to manage,
and soon own,
CASI. In 2009 Mrs. David was certified by the
WBENC, registering
CASI as a
diverse supplier under the leadership of a woman owner.
